N1 Vocabulary
N1 Vocabulary meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 21:00 to 22:30 Japan Standard Time (JST). The course runs from October 12 to November 25, 2026, for a total of 14 lessons.
It is designed for learners who want to build their N1 vocabulary systematically in the weeks leading up to the JLPT.
N1 Grammar
N1 Grammar meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 21:00 to 22:30 JST. The course runs from October 13 to November 26, 2026, for a total of 14 lessons.
If you take both Vocabulary and Grammar, the two courses fit together into a four-day weekly study schedule.
N2 Vocabulary
N2 Vocabulary meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 19:00 to 20:30 JST. The course runs from October 12 to November 25, 2026, for a total of 14 lessons.
For learners working toward N2, this gives you a regular evening study routine in Japan time.
N2 Grammar
N2 Grammar meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 20:30 JST. The course runs from October 13 to December 1, 2026, for a total of 15 lessons.
Together with the Vocabulary course, it lets N2 learners cover both areas across the week.
N1 Reading
N1 Reading is offered on weekdays and on Sundays.
The weekday class meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 04:00 to 05:30 JST. The Sunday class is held in two 90-minute sessions, from 13:00 to 14:30 and from 14:40 to 16:10 JST, with a 10-minute break in between.
The course runs from October 14 to November 29, 2026, for a total of 14 lessons. The early-morning Japan time slot may suit learners living in other time zones.
N2 Reading
N2 Reading is also offered on weekdays and on Sundays.
The weekday class meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 04:00 to 05:30 JST. Because of the time difference, this falls on Sundays and Wednesdays from 21:00 to 22:30 CEST in Europe. The Sunday class is held from 09:00 to 10:30 and from 10:40 to 12:10 JST.
The course runs from October 12 to November 29, 2026, for a total of 14 lessons. Please check the website for the latest weekday schedule before you register.
Which Class Should You Choose?
You do not have to take every course. If vocabulary is your main concern, you can take Vocabulary alone. If you want more focused practice in Grammar or Reading, you can choose that course instead. You can also combine courses to build a schedule around the areas you most want to strengthen before the JLPT.
As a guide, the N2 Vocabulary and Grammar classes start at 19:00 JST, and the N1 Vocabulary and Grammar classes start at 21:00 JST. Reading classes are held in the early morning in Japan and on Sundays.
Not Sure What Time That Is in Your Country?
All times above are in Japan Standard Time (JST), but you do not need to work out the time difference yourself. On the JLPT Compass website, you can view the class schedule in your own local time, which makes it much easier to see which classes fit your day.
This is especially helpful if you are joining from Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, South Asia, or anywhere else outside Japan.
Study JLPT From Anywhere
One of the best things about online classes is that you can keep studying Japanese wherever you live. Whether you are aiming for N1 or N2, you can choose Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, or a combination, and build a study plan that works for you.
